Most SVRC technical reports are available via anonymous ftp, from svrc.it.uq.edu.au in the directory /pub/techreports. Abstracts and compressed postscript les are available from Abstract This paper presents a method of formally specifying systems involving continuous variables and real-time constraints using the object-oriented state-based speciication language Object-Z together with the timed trace notation of the timed reenement calculus. The basis of this integration is a mapping of the existing Object-Z history semantics to timed traces.

A Logic for Object - ZGraeme
This paper presents a logic for Object-Z which extends W, the logic for Z adopted as the basis of the deductive system in the Z Base Standard. The logic provides a basis on which tool support for reasoning about Object-Z speciications can be developed. It also formalises the intended meaning of Object-Z constructs and hence provides an abstract, axiomatic semantics of the language.

An important issue in implementation of a GIS system is preparation of data to be entered in GIS. To produce spatial data for GIS using photogrammetric techniques, conventional method is to apply photogrammetric and GIS systems individually (off-line procedure). This approach is costly, time consuming and somehow unreliable due to the fact that 3D photogrammetric model is not available at the ...
متن کاملTowards Highly Configurable Real-Time Object Request Brokers
This paper discusses the software architecture of a Realtime CORBA object request broker (ORB) called ZEN, written in Real-time Java, which is designed to eliminate common sources of overhead and non-determinism in ORB implementations. We illustrate how ZEN can be configured to select the minimal set of components used by an application. Our experience with ZEN indicates that combining Real-tim...
متن کاملSafety Verification of Real Time Systems Serving Periodic Devices
In real-time systems response to a request from a controlled object must be correct and timely. Any late response to a request from such a device might lead to a catastrophy. The possibility of a task overrun, i.e., missing the deadline for completing a requested task, must be checked and removed during the design of such systems. Safe design of real-time systems running periodic tasks under th...
متن کاملTowards Priority Ceilings in Object-Based Semantic Real-Time Concurrency Control
This paper shows how priority ceiling techniques can be added to object-based real-time semantic concurrency control. The resulting protocol provides more potential concurrency for real-time object-oriented databases than previous priority ceiling techniques, while alleviating priority inversion and deadlock problems of previous object-based semantic concurrency control techniques. It is also a...
